An Each-Way bet is a combination of a Win and Place bet for a single runner. Half of the stake entered for an Each-Way bet goes onto the Win and the other half goes onto the Place. If your selection runs 1st you will receive a payout for both. If your selection places but doesn’t win, you will receive a payout for the Place portion only.
A Multibet is where you combine two or more outcomes in a single bet. When placing a Multibet, the odds of each outcome are multiplied together, giving you the opportunity to greatly improve your potential payout. However for a standard Multibet to payout, you need all outcomes/legs to be successful.
BetEasy also offers a range of Extra Multibet types, you can view further information about them here: https://supportcentre.beteasy.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/360049558974-Extra-Multibets
How an Each-Way Multibet works
When placing a Multibet, it’s possible to add Each-Way legs. This works similarly to a regular Each-Way bet, the stake is evenly split onto the Win and Place, and then any payout from these two portions is combined and placed on the next leg. If your Multibet contains more than one Each-Way leg, this process would simply repeat.
Standard Multibet with 3 Each-Way Legs and 1 Win Leg
$10 Stake Leg 1 Payout
$5 x Win $2 odds $10 This combined payout of $17.50 is now the
$5 x Place $1.50 odds $7.50 new stake for the next leg.
$17.50 Stake Leg 2 Payout
$8.75 x Win $3 odds $0 If this leg only Places and doesn’t Win then
$8.75 x Place $1.80 odds $15.75 there will only be a Payout for the Place.
This $15.75 then becomes the new stake
for the next leg.
$15.75 Stake Leg 3 Payout If you have a leg which is only a single
$15.75 x Win $2 odds $31.50 outcome, the full stake goes onto this.
$31.50 Stake Leg 4 Payout
$15.75 x Win $3 odds $0 If you have a leg which does not have a
$15.75 x Place $1.90 odds $0 winning outcome, then unfortunately your
Multibet will have lost.
